Hi, I have just enabled SSH, and installed the package manager using the guide on the homepage. Great

I am not much used to Linux shell (I have played with Ubuntu, but thats allmost only GUI).

I have added a user "remote" using adduser, and I can SSH using that user and password.
How do I limit that user to sftp (no SSH) only on a specific directory (the shares one)?

I have found this guide, but I do not dare try:

After enabling SSH, I am unable to shutdown my ix2, anyone else having same problem?

I also had some problems with shutdown and reboot, but only after using ldconfig and messing up my system.

Anyway are you using the latest firmware?

Hello, Do you know How to enable SSH on ix2-200 Cloud Edition (firmware 3.0.9.37355) ? http://mynasIP/support.html page doesn't exist!

Same for me !!
All documentations over the internet talk about his support.html page, but nobody (except you!!!) talk about her missing !!!

Maybe the procedure to activate ssh changed recently ?

Hi,

I had enabled ssh and could access just with my private key (no need for password) until I decided to specify one user in sshd_config (AllowUsers myUser). After that neither private key nor password (soho + myAdminPassword) works. I did a backup of sshd_config but since have no ssh access anymore I'm not able to restore it. Do you have an idea how can I restore this file? Could a reset to factory defaults make the trick?
